There are many opportunities for collaborative work among departments in Tisch. For example, Film students might ask Dance students to perform in their film, or the Drama department may ask Design students to create the set, costumes, and lighting for their production. Film and Television students may seek screenplays from Dramatic Writers.
To encourage this kind of interdepartmental collaboration, the Tisch Common Room, located on the ground floor of 721 Broadway, provides a space for Tisch students to meet informally during the day. It can be reserved in the evenings and on weekends for interdepartmental events such as readings, screenings, cabarets and productions.
The Tisch Undergraduate Student Council (TUSC) and Tisch clubs also sponsor events that are designed to give students from different departments the opportunity to collaborate and showcase their creative work.
